Psychology and Irish Mythology: Exploring the Archetypes of the Gaelic Gods and Goddesses

February 18, 2024

Dreams are private myths, myths are public dreams.

When we were young we heard the stories. The legends and tales of old, great warriors, gods, and goddesses - the sagas of Irish Mythology.

But what did it all mean?

This video explores the symbolic meaning of the Gaelic Gods and Goddesses as archetypes and reveals that these old tales were so much more than mere bedside stories.

Rather, they describe universal concepts, aspects of the human psyche, the challenges we face, and how we can use these timeless tales to guide us on our personal quests.

In this presentation I'll read chapters 4 and 6 as extracts from Peter O'Connor's fabulous book 'Beyond the Mist'.
